Este ano não fiz muitas colagens. As poucas que fiz ficaram por digitalizar. Sem isso não as podia aqui colocar. Quando fui viver para o Porto não levei o scanner. Depois disso tenho tido alguns problemas com o meu velho computador. Assim a dezena de colagens foi ficando na gaveta. E dia para dia para dia já chegámos ao fim do ano! Era hoje ou nunca. Por isso lá fui buscar os cabos e ligar o scanner. Espero que gostem!



Aproveito para dizer que não vendo as colagens. Pelo menos estas não estão à venda. Recebi alguns emails a perguntarem-me isso. Na loja Papelustro da Zazzle encontram algumas aplicadas em produtos diversos. No próximo ano ficará finalmente pronto o livro do Papelustro. Será em português e inglês. Será um pequeno livro com uma colecção das minhas colagens predilectas. Tenham um excelente ano novo e obrigada por apreciarem as minhas colagens!

This year I didn’t make a lot of collages. The few that I made were not scanned. When I moved to Oporto I did not take the scanner with me. After that I had some problems with my old computer. So a dozen collages grew in the drawer. Day by day we reached the end of the year. It was now or never! So there I went to get the cables and connect the scanner. Enjoy!


I take this opportunity to say that I am not selling the collages. At least these are not for sale. I received some emails asking me that. In the Zazzle store Papelustro I applied several collages in various products. If you want some illustration in particular or product you can contact me and I will create it for you. The product will be available for purchase through the Zazzle store Papelustro.


Next year I will finish my Papelustro book. Will be in Portuguese and English. It will be a small book with a collection of my collages favorites. Have a nice year and thank you all for enjoying my collages!

A caixa de Klimt_ Klimt's box

Todos os anos por esta altura é habitual comprar uma nova agenda. Durante alguns anos eu comprei a Diary da Tashen. Quando o ano terminava eu deitava fora as folhas usadas e guardava as reproduções das pinturas. Este ano resolvi aproveitá-las para fazer uma caixa onde guardo canetas, lápis, x-actos e outras ferramentas. Resolvi mostrar o resultado aqui no Papelustro. Afinal também foi feita com colagem. Forrar uma caixa não é complicado. O mais difícil é ter o tempo e a paciência para o fazer. Em especial se for grande, como esta. Esta caixa era uma caixa de um computador portátil. Limitei-me a cortar as partes que não interessavam e a retirar a pega de mão. Depois construí as divisórias à medida das necessidades usando essas partes. Tive de as forrar de negro por já não ter mais reproduções das pinturas de Gustav Klimt. Para fixar essas divisórias usei cola quente. Para o restante trabalho usei cola de madeira, mas suponho que existam colas mais adequadas. Esta mancha um pouco. Limitei-me a combinar as pinturas de acordo com o meu gosto pessoal nas superfícies da caixa. Escolhi as menos interessantes para o fundo e para o interior. Depois de encher a caixa não se vão ver. As arestas são rematadas no final cortando as imagens em tiras finas, com uma dimensão adequada, dobradas ao meio. Espero que se inspirem e que possam reusar as vossas agendas de anos passados. Every year around this time it is customary to buy a new diary/agenda. For some years I bought the Tashen Diary. When the year ended I lay out the used pages and kept the reproductions of paintings. This year I decided to take advantage of them to make a box where I keep pens, pencils, cutters and other tools. I decided to show the result here in Papelustro. After all the box was also made with paper and glue. Using collage to wrap a box is not complicated. The hardest part is having the time and patience to do so. Especially if it’s large. This was a laptop computer box. I simply cut the parts that did not interest and remove the hand-grip. I used these to make the box divisions. I run out of Gustav Klimt’s paintings so they are black. I used hot glue. For the other work I used wood glue, but I suppose there are more suitable adhesives. This one stains a little. I simply combine the paintings according to my personal taste on the surfaces of the box. I chose the least interesting for the background and the interior. After filling the box we can’t see it. The edges are finished at the end by cutting the images into thin strips with a suitable size. I hope you are inspired by this work and can reuse your past years diaries/agendas. Easy!
